Company Profile

A.L.R.T. Corporation was formed on July 1, 1990. Jerry Hammer, previously an owner and president of Alpine H & S, Inc for 27 years, formed A.L.R.T. in order to pursue new goals with the dissolution of Alpine. In 2006 Jerry sold the company to William Westergreen who had served as General Manager and Vice President since 1990 and had been an employee for over 25 years. A.L.R.T. continues operations as State Accredited Loggers, Road Builders and Truckers, and has expanded into the purchasing and marketing of timber to both domestic and export markets. A.L.R.T. has established itself as a stable, reputable, and professional leader in the timber industry.

Over the last 5 years A.L.R.T. has logged over 300 million board feet of timber. We have built over 100 miles of forest road in Washington State and reconstructed an additional 100 miles of existing roadway. We drilled and blasted over one million yards of rock, and crushed 750,000 yards of rock. Our truck fleet transported log and road materials throughout the region. Financially strong and solvent, A.L.R.T. has been able to successfully withstand the market fluctuations that have upset other participants in the timber industry. We have successfully bid and been awarded numerous State Timber sales over years. Some of our recent DNR Timber Sales include “Lincoln Log”, “Acer Mesa”, “North Urch”, “Old Paint” and “Wrad”. These sales alone amount to over $15 million purchase dollars and 50 million board feet of standing timber. Additionally, we continue to demonstrate strong community involvement by supporting organizations such as Mt. Baker Youth Baseball, Ducks Unlimited, and the Deming Log Show. The winning combination of competent management, highly skilled employees, and modern logging equipment will insure the successful harvest of any job we begin.
